Audio leadership for ambitious, story-rich games.

I am Sergey Eybog, Studio Audio Director at Owlcat Games. Across more than 20 years in game audio, I have worked as a sound designer and composer and led audio on large narrative RPGs. That hands-on background informs how I set direction, review work, and make production decisions today.
My work spans creative direction, team leadership, interactive audio systems, music direction, voice production, and the pipelines that help a small team deliver a large game. I care about building a clear sonic identity and a process that stays useful through development and release.
At Owlcat Games, I have worked across the Pathfinder games and Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader. I am currently working on The Expanse: Osiris Reborn.
Areas of focus
- Direction: A shared audio vision that connects narrative, game design, music, voice, and sound.
- Teams: Priorities, feedback, external partners, and sustainable delivery with lean internal teams.
- Systems: Interactive audio that responds to the world and the player’s choices.
- Production: Practical workflows, middleware, and early collaboration across disciplines.
Earlier in my career, I won first place in the 2015 BOOM Library UI sound design contest. Read the interview about the winning entry.
